My first peppers

Summer 2009: I'm trying peppers for the first time this year. I was told they could handle a fair amount of heat and dryness, so I figured they would be safe in containers. I'm quite pleased so far, especially since they all nearly succumbed to my poor hardening-off technique in the spring. The containers I'm quite proud of also, they were plain plastic and I sprayed them "artistically" with 3 colors of metallic paint meant for plastics to try to get them to look like weathered metal.

Great idea! I want to grow the so-called "chocolate" sweet peppers, which would look fantastic in pots in colours like these. :-)
