I would put there just white lilies - for mystical purpose. Otherwise - very nice ikebana -lol. What church is this? Where is it? I would like those people living there, as their faith is still living.

Hello Katarina, The church in Sherton is called The Holy Cross. The village is situated on two borders in south west England. It is a predominantly happy village with connections to a very ancient history.
As it is not my local church, I do not know how many people go regularly to it's Sunday service. I do know of it's fund raising, by it's art exhibitions. I also know of it's love of flowers.

Years ago, in my village there served Sunday service a Catholic priest, who was gardener-beginner. He lived in curia personae (manse) built in 16th century or so. He used all kinds of old stony pots for seeding his flowers.
One day arrived a state inspection to curia and this inspection was sent by the Institution for protection of historical monuments. They were shocked when they found he was growing geranium in baptismal font coming from early Christian times.
Blessed are those who are poor in spirit...lol.

I think, that Jesus has loved gardeners.

The garden is the one place where I feel at peace and stilled by the beauty of the flowers.
