Actaea simplex 'Brunette'

Actaea simplex 'Brunette' (Actaea simplex 'Brunette')

AKA 'Cimifuga simplex'...this is a tall back of the shady border plant - it has got muddled up with my thuggish Japanese Anemones!

Very pretty even if your Anemones is a bit of a thug..they seem to mingle well.

I planted two of them, and the other one is in bud. It's taller than this one, so it will be safe from the marauders!

Very pretty but I would call it 'blonde'!!

LOL. Thanks... Gee, I know you can't see the leaves, but they are definitely 'brunette!'!!

Beautiful I think its so delicate with its colours how tall does this grow.

Up to 6 - 7', Morgana, if you count the flowers!

We'll have to call them 'muddles' now instead of 'mingles'.

Hi Spritzhenry
I've been looking at your fabulous photographs. The definition is beautiful and the subject matter truly wonderful. It will take me a while to see them all and I will try not to put them all on "favourites".

Thank you, Linda - what a lovely thing to say! Shame you're so far away from us, of you could walk round and see for yourself!

How about a holiday in the West Country? :-)))

Thanks Spritzhenry.
As an artist I was particularly struck by the way you composed your photos. Did you have an arts training? I certainly wish I lived a bit nearer than I do.

No, Linda - although I've always enjoyed art and used to paint. I just enjoy putting plants together and seeing the results!
