Clematis Jackmanii

Clematis Jackmanii

This variety was the first clematis I planted in my garden
over four decades ago; that one was trained on a pergola; as it only produces flowers after making about 5ft of growth, it is best trained high, like this one over an arch. It is easy to manage, as it is cut down to about 12" in late winter; you can then remove all the old growth from its support.
