fantastic colour

Yes - they really are - but with this wind, they won't last much longer. :-(((

I hope they hold on after the horrid wind.

It seems to have died down here. How about you?

3 Oct, 2009

Its been awfully windy today with twigs and leaves blowing around but like you, quieter now, thank goodness. You look up at the big trees and hope no big branches come down.

Oh yes, Dawn! I'm just grateful that if any branches came off the old ash tree, they would be well away from the house. Let's hope nobody is walking underneath it, though! :-((

A beautiful shot. What wonderful color and shape. Sorry to hear about the wind. Hope it 'leaves' them for you a while.

I'm afraid that the right-hand end (out of the photo) has already lost some leaves. The colour travels along the wall from right to left!!! Isn't that amazing!

Been staring at this photo for ages, just cant believe the colours. Absolutely wonderful. Now the wind has droped, lets hope you and anyone else who passes can enjoy the real picture for some time to come

I'm not sure if the wall can be seen from the lane - I'll have to walk to the gate and find out! Maybe I should put a notice on the gate to invite people to come and take a look! LOL.

The color spreading across it is an amazing thought. Just wonderful.

Some of you are in the same area as me...but today I went right up to Wakefield & the trees were definitely more autumnal than down here.

Really? Interesting, but I suppose not really a surprise. The leaves are falling off my poplar trees!

Lovely - fantastic shot. You must have a good camera...and a good eye for a picture!

4 Oct, 2009
