6 Jun, 2009

We've had rain all day! It's chilly, as well. Rain - good. Cold - not good! lol.

Potato festival??? Just potatoes??? I can't imagine wanting to go there! Did people have to pay to get in, they would have to pay me to go, I think!

i live in pembrokeshire. we are famous for our spuds. it was a local produce market realy with a focus on potatoes. there was plants. pork. veg. cider, and ice-cream all from local farms.

~it has been tipping down since about 10 am and is showing no signs of stopping yet~I have had a garden full of birds on all the feeders today so at least most of them have got full tummies to get through the night~
I am hoping it will get better through the week~if not tomorrow!Fingers crossed Barbara!
The BBC are threatening heavy rain here for Thursday~will be glad to get down with you!

The forecast isn't so good, Arlene - remember your umbrella, won't you!

Sandra, maybe it wasn't as bad as it sounded at first ! :-) Especially if you had plants for sale! Mmmmm. Did you sell a lot?

6 Jun, 2009

i sold lots of tomato plants and herbs. the plants are nearly all sold now.

6 Jun, 2009

What! No flowers? I'm not coming there, then! lol.

6 Jun, 2009

i did have flowers and i know you would like them Spritz. i had erigeron, geum, and old fashioned pinks. but the tomatoes have all got flowers on anyway...lol

6 Jun, 2009

I would, I would! :-D No more tomatoes, though, thanks. I have 4 plants - 2 in the greenhouse and 2 outdoors.

6 Jun, 2009

~so it won't be a summer dress and hat then!Bum~ was looking forward to a nice stroll around. Might put the mac and wellies in the boot~ on second thoughts will they look all right with the dress?

6 Jun, 2009

I am expecting nothing less than a cocktail dress, parasol, large hat with flowers on and high heels, Arlene. Hmm. on second thoughts, the gardener will not be wearing hers, so maybe not? lol.

6 Jun, 2009

Looking forward to lots of photos ladies !

~last year at Hampton Court there should have been a Wellie competition~I have never seen so many colourful ones a well as the obligatory green Hunters~put my little Muck Boots to shame!Don't worry Barbara I won't wear those!

6 Jun, 2009

i love my muck boots and they are definately comming on my holiday to glastonbury in two weeks.....but did u know they now have flowery hunters....

7 Jun, 2009

Sandra - Glastonbury is only about 25 miles from here - an easy run. If you have any spare time, I'd be very pleased to see you!

7 Jun, 2009

~yes Sandra, saw them at Ayletts recently~also bright pink ones~not sure I would want to be seen in them!

7 Jun, 2009

I wouldn't have a problem recognising you in those, Arlene! LOL.

7 Jun, 2009

you'd need dark glasses!

7 Jun, 2009

That can be arranged...please see PM.

7 Jun, 2009

i nearly went for the pink hunters when i bought my muckboots. but i only just saw the flowery ones. all the flowery ones i've had so far have broken very easily.
