Rose cutting 'Compassion'

When I was pruning this rose I stuck one of the cuttings into the ground and have just noticed that it seems to have taken! Tiny little shoots are appearing. I am thrilled to bits as this is my favourite rose and smells beautiful.

Oh I,m so pleased for you Gee , I love taking rose cuttings it,s a miracle when they take ... my husband swears... he says the rose thorns grab him all over the garden Lol .....

Compassion is such a nice rose, it deserves to survive. Well done Gee. I look forward to the day when you can post a pic of it's flowers.

Agree, compassion is a beauty, rose take quite easily, hubby grown a few this way, usually leaves for a year or so before potting on.
