First flower,from my bargain 97p plant from Wilkinson's this year.I have 3 healthy cuttings from it ,doing well,although one of them was accidental,with me being too heavy handed,when staking the main one.!!!

I got one of these from Wilkinsons too, it's a fantastic colour and flower shape isn't it. I've only started growing dahlias this year, GOYs fault:-)

Thanks Louise,..think it could be something to do with good old yorkshire air.? ,ie,result of recent Chemical fallout,I posted a blog on,not long since.Lol.I was inspired by your's on here..look what you started,...I'm pleased to say:o)).
Bornagain,I agree,its lovely.I have only started with Dahlia's too,as a result of GOY, (see above comment).I found a packet of single ones too,in the jumble of seed packets in my box..freebies from a Gardening Mag ages ago,and they are all budding now,so looking forward to seeing what colour they are..so exciting :o)

Glad you like them too Motinot,they seem to be a popular variety.All four of mine have ,and still are, lovely,so will definitely be trying some more varieties next year..
