I see what you mean by Blue??? Just saw your remarks on another pic of Blue Boy....I think that there is a chimera of blue...just looks like a dusting of blue chalk over the petals. that's my best guess, Cinderella...my dahlias don't even have buds on them yet. (I was a little late starting them.) Enjoying your flower pics.

If you want some interesting reading check out the ten different flower types of the Dahlia! There is even an orchid flower type...and there is a semi-cactus form. With all the variables of this flower...flower type, colour combinations...petal forms...it's quite a mixed bag. Genetic "accidents" occur ...and if you have something that isn't quite like the label...maybe you have a new type!?
