It was an experiment to see if i could better the photo from a couple of days ago.The Acers are coming into their own know, don't you think,P? By the way how is the "mirror" project coming on?

Yes the acers are lovely at the moment. I must admit to browsing through internet sites drooling at some new ones... I only have one at the moment, quite old...acer palmatum garnet - maybe its time for a new one! I'm still playing about a bit with the mirror project. They are a bit tricky to get just right, because of the reflection. Your mirror tiles idea would be a much cheaper/easier way to achieve what I had in mind. I wanted a large mirror to give the illusion of a gap in the fence. I'm a bit worried about birds though so have rigged up an experimental mirror with a piece of trellis in front. Dont want the death of little birdies on my conscience! I'm currently putting some new compost bins together, but its proving quite heavy. It doesn't help when you keep changing your mind either!!!

Feel the same, think I am just about to buy another Acer!......The mirror in our garden is made up of two mirrored sheets. It was very difficult fixing it to the fence.OH was in charge and all I could do was pray it didn't crack as the screws were inserted!!!!........(And also keep silent!)LOL.

Very wise J .... lol. I have to do my own DIY now, OH no longer up to it. The air definately turns blue if things dont go quite right though! I've just learned how to use his circular saw. He frightened me half to death with all the safety advice before I used it... but hey ho, I've still got all my arms and legs... so not so bad really.

Yes,that sounds familiar,P!!!!! Have suddenly found another place to fix a mirror.Whilst looking out of the kitchen window this am,I could envisage it exactly.Isn't that moment of realisation exciting!!!!!Now I have to introduce the idea to OH(hardest job)LOL!!!!! How about you.P?
