Thanks, these little bulbs sprang back a few days later & continued as if nothing had happened!

Which reminds me that they are probably in flower right now. As I no longer cross the bridge twice a day 5 days a week, since being made redundant 3 years, less one month, ago I have to decide to go that a way! I'll go down this week & see if I can get another photo or two. There has been no flooding this year so they will be visible.
