Thank for the lovely comments. I really enjoyed doing this one. I have spent all day making up two door arrangements and one for the mantelpiece in our sitting room. The Christmas tree is next and then a table arrangement for my neighbour.

You have a real talent there Linda, it looks lovely. Are you a florist? because if not you ought to be......

I have been a portrait painter for the past forty years Linda. My garden is my escape when I get tired working.

Lovely work Linda, you are one talented lady. I work in watercolour, have never been taught to paint, but any donations go to charity. I do think that painting can become intense so your gardening is a good escape for you. Anyway hope you have a really lovely Christmas.

I've started drawing again after my replacement elbow operation, but am hoping to start painting again when the daylight's a bit better.

That sounds very painful Linda. It is a short painting day at this time of year. We can work in colour up until about three thirty and then we only do drawn changes. It makes sittings possible only early in the day. Do you work from life or photos? Working from life adds the problem of bad weather. I have had days when it has been so dark I can hardly see the sitter across the room then others when there has been too much light. It is a great thing to do tho'.

I paint imaginary pictures and do paint some from photos, and some paintings I add a bit here and a bit there from different pictures and create my own. I like to paint scenes and animals, birds etc. I'm no expert artist but I enjoy what I do.
