Still love that pic of the Cat Uma, what a beauty...

Thanks, Crissue :) Seen the dry yellow petal on the pic and thought of this plant.

lol....like Uma I saw the tiny scrap of petal...but I was thinking rudbeckia! lol....it should do well for you, Crissue. The common name is Indian Blanket. beautiful zingy colour.

Thanks everyone...it was a bit of fun...a mini quiz...
Hi Lorilyn...love the name Indian Blanket....and Zingy colour fits it well...I'll have a go at drying and then sow the seeds...its then got two chances...lol...

It is definitely worth a try. Next summer I want lots of zinnias and cosmos...

Lots of lovely bright colours then !! and why not...I'm trying to reorganise my centre border, mainly in my head at the moment, but I have moved my Delphiniums over, and they are doing real good, one that was moved as a trial, has sent a flower stalk up, so that is a good sign for the rest...plus one Lupin that hasn't been happy anywhere in this garden, is now quite content too...so I'm growing a few from seed...;

Meant to say I love your Avatar, it looks a really nice spot, is it local to you...!!

Thanks Crissue. Yes, this is Eastern Ontario about 100 kms. south west of Ottawa. I want to start some Delphs next spring...along with the cosmos and zinnias! Have Dahlias, (another fav) which are not doing much a present. Everything was slow to start up this season...have many plants which I store over winter in an adapted root cellar.

Hi Lori...I guess you're about at the moment, what's your time there...I'm after 6 morning....Thanks, the pic looks a nice calm spot.
....Dahlias are a favourite of mine too...I generally grow Cactus Dahlia...they are my favourite, but there are so many varieties...it's hard not to love them all...:o))) Our garden isn't that big, we downsized three years ago..and it's just getting into it's stride now...Haven't got much space for over wintering, tho I've to make room for a newly aquired Standard Fig Tree, a freebie from our local GC.....;o)))
