Myosotis and Lamium

Myosotis and Lamium

Anytime I walk through work looking for anything I stop here. I love these two next to each other. I should bring some home and try it out overwintering. Haven't found Brunnera.

Thats what I was thinking. Thanks for the comments. Since only the myosotis will overwinter, this isn't something you see in our gardens.

Don't know what zone Alaska is but I am in zone 6 in the mountains of North
Carolina and brunnera overwinters here easily. I have bleeding hearts around my brunnera, but your forget me not's look better. Think I will make a change
in my garden to look like yours. Thanks for the idea.

Sounds lovely Valerie. Fairbanks is zone 2 and I can squeeze 3 out with extra care. It is warming so we may have been rezoned. The myosotis doesn't have the nice brunnera foliage but still the great blue flowers. I'll try some brunnera if I can find some. Thanks. :-)

The forget-me-nots look great GT always a sign of spring!

Thanks. I did find some in our perrenial garden overwintered so they should live if I add some. Then I can see how close to spring they naturally arrive here in the frozen north. :-)

Will have to post you a pic of the Brunnera in my garden...it's starting to bloom. the blue is a bit brighter than the softer blue of the forget-me-nots...and the leaves can be quite large (heart shaped)... This is it's second year. it's a siberian so it might just do ok up your way!
