Mini orchard is also the large chicken run

Our larger chuckie run is also a mini orchard with a conference pear, Victoria plum, Stella Cherry, Braeburn and Bramley apple trees (from QVC :-) and a saved cobnut bush. The chickens will keep the weeds down and their manure is added nutrients to the soil. We also shred all our prunings and chuck it in the chicken runs to stop them going boggy in nasty weather and it gives them something to scrat about in.
