This was taken back in July but shows another view of the birdbath.

That would be nice but the dull tarnish stage would not be as attractive.
I have a robin who especially likes to visit it.

do the birds manage to walk up/down the slope or do they just fly in and out again?

Actually there is not much of a slope and I put a few stones in as well. The birds mainly fly in.
