Heard these are flying free in the London area.

There seem to be more each year! Great fun to watch tho, even if they tend to eat a great deal of the seed put out for the smaller birds!!

Looks like the difference between the male and female is that the male has the purple coloured ring around his neck.

Yes I believe that is so...very smart looking birds. :)
