Your border looked wonderful - great job! So the slugs are a bit picky are they? - they don't like these plants.

What a lovely border. Don't the slugs bother your delphinium?

Thanks for all the comments. The large leaved plant is geranium psilostemon which is a tall variety with magenta flowers. It scrambles through the planting. The leaves turn bright red in autumn and it flowers for ages. Sorry, havnt come across a delphinium that can survive my slug population but did try growing some in pots then plunging them into the borders-it gave the effect but a bit expensive! Love GOY and looking at all the lovely photos

Absolutely lovely, that is how I want my borders to look!! Can you tell me what is in there please? Sorry, but am very amateur (but very keen) new gardener! Esp the tall purple flowers - verbena? And what is the beautiful foliage at the front left?

Thanks Janie, this is my favourite corner and when anyone has a photo taken they have to sit in front! It changes a bit every year and Im trying to grow something that I can pop in later in the summer. If only the rest of the garden looked the same. lol. but then there would be nothing to do, would there?

This is really lovely - my style of gardening. I really like this. Did it take you long to achieve the effect?

Thanks K. We moved here winter 10 years ago and there was only a few shrubs the mock orange on the left being one of them. I was expecting my second baby by Nov, so not much gardening done for the next two years. The lavender hedge was planted when she was 2, and the roses and viburnum when she was 3 the perennials have been in for about 5 years, many of them self seeders
