Absolutely lovely! Inspiring! How I miss having a deck! I used to have one in my old garden and I really loved it. IN my present garden I decided to go for gravel....cheaper and quicker at the time...but I miss my lovely warm wooden deck!

Hi Karen in Carnoustie,
After reading your comments i had to look at your profile and garden, then my wife and i spent at least a hour agog marveling at the variety of clematus and roses you have, BLOWN AWAY.
Not in a nasty way i asure you but was so pleased to see you had a problem with part of your lawn because every one of your flowers/plants were perfect and could not see a blemish .HOW DO YOU DO IT? FANTASTIC.
(Unlike me you are a PROPER gardener)
Realy surprised about the climate up that far, i have not been past Edinburgh.
In respect of the decking we spend quite a lot of time spilling beer and wine on it (some we drink) as we get the sun all day in our garden with it finishing late afternoon and evening on the deck.
Regards
Graham.
PS:Thought the dozen clematis we had were guite a lot,now made a note of several of your plants including Buddleja Sungold,Silver anniversary and Heuchera Lime marmalade,Tiramsu, i could go on.

To the rest of you SUPER GARDENERS, many thanks, i only started out trying to establish why my conifers were going brown now i don`t know where it stops.
To much information and choice i now need a lottery win to buy the plants we want.
Cheers.

Oh Graham, you are so kind. Thank you. Today is actually a beautiful morning, so I am going to be out there until dinner if I possibly can....cutting back, tidying, edging etc.
So glad you enjoyed my photos.....we're getting there, but with so many houses backing on to us, I fear it will never feel as private as your lovely decking area. Thanks again! :)))))
