Hey, Julia!! Great to hear from you (have to assume you have seen my one&only blog?!!)...come next spring most of those empty spaces should be sprouting lots of daffs & tulips..if anything fails to show, it'll be "herbaceous perennials to the rescue"!! lol! happy gardening, talk soon, cheers j :-)
