We got the patio extended this weekend and hubby has dug out beds and put in edging. The soil is composted and ready for planting in a week or two. No rest for the wicked. :-)
Now we just need a weekend where it doesn't rain so that we can actually sit out and enjoy it!

Thank you for the encouragement, everyone. It has been sooooooooo tiring as we started from just a green lawn back in March.
Yes YoungDaisyD, it is a new garden as we moved into this new build last July. I'm not sure if all the hard work makes us feel good, we certainly feel achy! All you can hear from us is: ooh, ouch, ah, ow, etc ha ha.
I know what you mean about skipping on the stepping stones Lulu. They evoke a sense of nostalgia and I love all things vintage and British. My hubby always laughs at me as I'm from Singapore originally, but love only British decorative furnishings and plants. :-) I hope to pick up some vintage planters from the antique markets this summer.
