Antheraea polyphemus
I do not like moths, This thing was sitting on our deck yesterday and my OH took a picture. IT gives me the creeps "starring" at me like this.
Matches my carpet nicely though.

I do indeed love it. The eye patterns on the wing are designed to do exactly that, creep a predator out, so they leave it alone.

I love the Moths and Butterflies and sadly they are on the decline. This is a real stunner and the markings are lovely.

It’s beautiful! What a wonderful specimen, Klahanie. I’m sure Eileen (SBG) will love it!
I have to say, I don’t mind them at all, moths, butterflies, etc...just not so keen on big spiders.
