Pirates' Treasure Chest for our New Garden Theme.

Goyer Madperth gave us this lovely metal chest a few months ago, to become a planter when we got round to our new "Pirates" theme for the garden. Many Thanks again, Marie! xxx

That is a great chest and was kind of your friend Madperth to give you this to complete your theme. Will look forward to see what you plant inside.

Many Thanks, too, Sixpence, for the suggestions and ideas you sent us. :-))

We are eager to get going with this, Jacque, but will have to have patience, lol!!
Firstly, have to find a new home for the Halloween and other dress-up outfits currently in here (hence the broomstick in the pic). :-))

Aw, Jacque, can't we keep it just a little longer? May need it to help work some magic here, LOL! :-))

Hi Arlene. Have, of course, still got plants for rubies, emeralds and gold from previous themes, which might look good in this. Top of my list, however, is Bidens "Pirates' Treasure". :-))

its going to be great............

4 Jan, 2010

I hope so, Holly. :-))

Well, JD didn't make an appearance in the Charlie & the Choc Factory garden. Have you seen the new Alice in Wonderland movie yet? We haven't. Yes, another Tim Burton, starring JD and Helena B Carter, movie adaptation. We even saw him the other night starring as JM Barrie in "Finding Neverland" with Kate Winslet, with also, incidentally, Freddie Highmore, who played Charlie Bucket opposite JD in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. OMG, I'm becoming a movie buff!!!!!!!!!

Of couerse I meant "wicked" in the nicest possible way. Marie. Hee hee hee hee hee!!!!!!! (oh, I'm getting my stories all mixed up, now). :-))

4 Jan, 2010

Good to hear uv notice JD in all those Films David :) i want 2 see Alice In Wonderland to :)

4 Jan, 2010

It's on here next week, Jacque, so we'll be going. Am not a fan at all of JD, especially with all the weird costume and make-up. There's something scary and "iffy" about it all. At least, as JM Barrie, writing "Peter Pan" (hence our current interest, with pirates), he didn't have all that stuff on. He is, certainly, a very versatile actor and, if he really spoke with an excellent Scotttish accent in "Finding Neverland", as he did his lines with THAT accent in "Pirates of the Caribbean" (OMG, I finally managed to spell THAT correctly - I think?), then, for that reason, he is high up in my esteem!!! (Won't give up my day job to become a "movie critic" quite yet! LOL! Will stick to what I know - and gardening!!) :-))

4 Jan, 2010

Hope ul enjoy it when u do see it David :) il have to see when its showing In Peterborough as i like their Cinema Better :)

4 Jan, 2010

We will, Jacque. Something to look forward to after all the Festive stuff!! Promise not to "leak" any details - Haha!!! :-)) XXX

4 Jan, 2010

I want to see Sherlock Holmes too! I'm told its brilliant!
David, you're just jealous!! As far as I'm concerned, JD could stand & recite Baa Baa Black Sheep, & I'd be happy! Lol!

4 Jan, 2010

Nae worrrrries, hen! It'll be a magical, colourful xtravagnza, I'm sure!!!

Be sure to grow some of those lettuce for yourself!!!!! The green-coloured ones look fab as infill with darker-coloured foliage in beds, pots, window boxes, etc. And the dark purple ones (like Lollo Rossa or "Marshall") are stunning planted among green leaved bedding. Happy Growing!!! :-) XXX

4 Jan, 2010

Oh, comment overlap time"""
