You will probably need to zoom in to spot this little fellow, he is a regular visitor I think he has a little des res under the conifer I took the picture from the conservatory hence the size and clarity. He comes out each day after I have put out seed and nuts for the birds, making numerous visits to and fro, even seen him feeding alongside a large Woodpigeon, occasionally its a family affair wih a relay team of little mice darting in and out of rocks and shrubs.

I agree BB. Do they really like cheese or is that a myth? Just an idea for PansyP?

The ones that live in our old stone wall like cheese Dawn....but the funniest was last Easter we put some of those mini chocolate eggs in the crevices for them..and caught sight of a mouse rolling a choccie eggg onto the flooor before running off with it in its mouth.Sad to say no camera on hand at the time !!

I can just picture the scene and then the mouse returning home to the family with the prize egg. Bliss. Typical though BB, I never have my camera at the appropriate moment .. that must have been an amazing site. Awwww your garden is full of all kinds of creatures that you certainly look after so well :-)

Will try again this Easter Dawn..are going to buy afew bags of cadburys mini eggs, and put them on the wall ! This time camera will be at the ready lol. Some people would say we are mad,but it feels right. All these people on GoY are trying so hard to look after the wildlife in what is becoming the harshest winter for many years. It has to be making a difference !

Follow your heart ... that's what I say. It's great to look after them all and like you say, in this harsh winter, it must be making such a difference :-)

Do try to give him a variety in his diet with a little cheese and pastry, but there is someone else sniffing around called Polly who simply adores cheese and home baking! love to have seen the mouse eggrolling Bonkers but I can visulise it Fabbbbbbbbbbb lol

I have one PP , I did see my cat staring at the spot where it comes out from under the cottoneaster the other day ... I think she is to old and not quick enough to get it these days .. when she was younger she would bring them in .. I had a baby rabbit in the porch one day , scared me .. I thought it was a rat .. ....... LOL ......

Awww. This is a lovely pic PP. Well done to get it. It's a little field mouse, not a house mouse. Their eyes are so big and limpid. How could anyone possibly hate them?
