Larry buried a large, bottomless, plastic dustbin and planted the bamboo inside it. We don't want it to take over the garden!

Me too Sue. But I also have memories (nasty ones) of bamboo plants marauding through flower beds and invading a neighbour's garden so I am hoping that it doesn't 'escape' the bounds of it's bin!
