Thanx M! I have an idea they need protection from frost.. they may have to be wrapped in bubble/fleece in the next couple of weeks.. :-)

Not bubble, but breathable fleece, if anything, Jeanette. Great to see that they are in pots, and can be lifted and stored in a frost-proof place, such as garage, shed or greenhouse.

Thanx for the advice D! :-)

Jeanette, i have my pennisetum out in the ground, in the front garden. They came through last winters minus 12 with no trouble, so perhaps, as you're in the same area yours will be a lot tougher than you think !

Thanx Louise, hope for these yet then! I forgot to ask, do you cut the foliage back to ground level or not? (I don't cut my other ornamental grasses down..they look nice with frost on them, I wait til spring when the new growth comes thru) cheers j :-)
