A small piece was dropped into my bag by one of the gardeners at Harlow Carr garden many moons ago. Grows well in very deep shade. But very slowly,

I have some of this under my Holly and Pittosporum shrub but it seems to be taking a long time to spread like you I wish it grew faster.
