Very nice Skips , Parsley has so many uses , I'm very surprised Yorkshire my parsley usually dies off in the winter .....

no way would it survive up here Amy

I've never had it survive outside before Yorkshire , it even died in the greenhouse in a pot last year .. when I think of the weather we've had it's amazing !

Thats amazing Amy. My dad always grew some in the greenhouse so it was ready for Christmas, for the stuffing. How has it survived?so resilient, wonderful.

The Parsley is in a patch under the Holly trees Dawn I wonder if it had some protection from the trees ...I can see where you get your love of gardening from Dawn You learnt an awful lot from your Dad without realising it at the time .. :o))

I'll have to try growing some in the protection of trees Amy. Oh, I wish I had my Dad know to teach me :-(
Nothing nicer than fresh parsley sauce over fish :-)

I'm sure he taught you more than you realise Dawn , you were taking it all in and remembering it ..
6p i've been reading a remedy book that has Sage beer in it .... :o))

I hope so Amy :-). Do you grow fresh seed each year.?
5 Feb, 2011
No Dawn , the only herb seeds I buy are Basil seeds , we have a very good herb nursery up the road , called ' Norfolk Herbs ' I buy a good plant to start with and then split it up if I can , ( they are usually about .99p at the centre ) that way you don't have to wait all summer before you can use the parsley , I have been known to buy a pot of herbs of the shelf at Morrisons in the veg. dept. there are dozens of little plants in one pot , I then split them up and pot them on .... very crafty :o))
