Strawberry and apple crumble

Almost the best pudding in the world and Just for you Irish :-) Made with homegrown apples and strawberries.....yes we did have ripe strawberries in less than 60 days, not a lot but enough to make a pudding and there's still plenty to come yet

Hi TT, extra clotted cream, No probs!!
Must look in on your wellie olympics blog. Not been on GOY for ages. Just too busy since I started back to work after the summer hols. Am I still down for the hop, skip and jump? (think it should be hop, skip and dump tho)

Hi. Joannie : Nice to hear from you. :o)
Wellie Olympics blog is over 200 comments now, so we're awardng special medals to GoY members who manage to scroll all the way down!

We've definitely missed you on that blog. How can I sum up so many comments for you ?

Yes, you're our very best hope in the flop, trip and pump, or anything that rhymes with that... Lol.

All sorts going on. Do visit and comment when you can. We have Irish in charge of transport, and Amy trying to establish exactly when Paddington Bear will be 50 years old - vital to our training regime, as you'll see. Lots of lovely new members, such as Catfinch with her Windwheels. It'll all make sense when you read it. You'll need another holiday to recover! :o)

Think GOY should award you with a special award for all your efforts to bring about this momentous event. I'll give up an hour to read all about it this evening after I've completed my olympic mammoth ironing session :-(

My nan and mum used to make us apple crumble when I was a lad. Poor souls they are gone now along with the skill. Oh yes I have tried to imitate but that 's just it it is not the same. What is in the pudding? My folks never put pudding on top. Over here they call it apple crisp go figure eh! Rob
