Thank you San! She's still surviving!
12 Sep, 2009
Ali im not sure of name but i have some cuttings, the thing is i took some of two differant ones, both lovely but got them mixed up lol, if you want one pm your address and you can have one with pleasure :o)
thats great mari, apparently they can loose leaves over winter so dont worry and dont let it get to wet, more on the dry side, sea told me, keep in unheated room over winter away from direct light but light room,
12 Sep, 2009
Unheated room? My house is tiny (1 bedroom) & I dont have a spare room I can keep unheated!! :~((
12 Sep, 2009
ok well maybe might be ok it your shed mari, has it a window? as long as the frost cant get to it but it has light
12 Sep, 2009
I'm going to insulate the shed, & theres a window. My freezer's under the window, so the heat off thet would stop it freezing, I think! I'll wrap the pot in bubble wrap too.:~)
12 Sep, 2009
good idea mari :o), then you can pop other plants there to
12 Sep, 2009
Yep! Just need to get on with the shed clearing! I got my path dug out today tho!
12 Sep, 2009
thats great mari, how did your back cope with that, every year we clear shed and still gets full lol
12 Sep, 2009
I need to empty it to get the insulation in! Need to redo the roof too!
:~(((( Back's a bit sore but nothing major! Worth the sense of achievement!!! I'm gonna put the lounger cushions & stuff in the attic, that'll save a LOT of space!
12 Sep, 2009
good idea and they wont get damp either, i put them in bin liners to be sure
12 Sep, 2009
I have to put them in binliners to get them up there! The hatch is tiny so i need to pull them up behind me & manouever them in!
12 Sep, 2009
i hate going up in attic, spooky and high lol
12 Sep, 2009
Mine is also really low, so you have to crawl about in it! :~((
12 Sep, 2009
wouldnt like that, at least i can stand in ours,,at my last house was like that mari, low roof
12 Sep, 2009
Yes, I was really disappointed, I'd hoped to be able to use it as a craftroom!
12 Sep, 2009
know what you mean as i wanted to use mine as another room so boys didnt have to share, but builder said it wasnt worth it and for the money it would cost
12 Sep, 2009
Even if I owned this I couldnt do it, its mid-terrace!
12 Sep, 2009
anyway would only have bigger heating bills mari so keep it small, cosy :o)
12 Sep, 2009
I suppose! But I'll need to move into the shed at this rate!
12 Sep, 2009
one of those summerhouses would be lovely mari,, we need to win lottery first though, alot of people buy them to have as office or work space
12 Sep, 2009
Yes, but I've dug up nearly all of my garden now!!
12 Sep, 2009
:o(( oh well back to drawing board,,
12 Sep, 2009
Indeed! But where can I fit a drawing board????? LOL!
12 Sep, 2009
im gone,, zapppp x
12 Sep, 2009
So you keep saying! LOL!
12 Sep, 2009
Missed these somehow....so much to take in on here!!
They are stunning, like strawberries & cream!!
13 Sep, 2009
yes they are Dan, im going to try save the whole plant to if i can :o)
13 Sep, 2009
I got the cutting San, but where's my massage????
Dan, you just made me hungry!!
13 Sep, 2009
is your back bad mari?? baz just put a shelf in shed for me so i can pop plants in there to, im sure its warm enough as its a new shed this year so no damp or anything,
13 Sep, 2009
Its not too bad considering I've spent half the day shifting gravel through the house in a bucket!
My shed roof leaks! Need to sort it soon, but I hate heights!
13 Sep, 2009
is there anyone who can help you? pitty we dont live closer, my baz helps my mates here when i ask him, he`s a good man
13 Sep, 2009
Aw! Thats sweet!
I'll sort it somehow! Do it when the neighbours are out! They tend to come over all macho!!
13 Sep, 2009
good idea , thats th eway to do it mari, let out a cry with your back to
13 Sep, 2009
Nah, I just do the "I can manage......I think" & look all pathetic!
13 Sep, 2009
even better, men love that dont they, think we are pathetic but really we just know how to work it lol
13 Sep, 2009
Exactly! How do you think I got the extra worktop & the outside tap???
:~))))
13 Sep, 2009
:o)))))
13 Sep, 2009
See, I was right....manipulative to the core you women.
Oh yeh, you think because I'm not saying much on here tonight - listing stuff on Ebay actually tomake more wonga for plants and garden stuff - I don't see or hear what you two are discussing but I DO!
'Oooh, we know what buttons to press don't we San?'
Yes Mari, what ever we want we just look pathetic and ....hey presto!'
Tut tut!! :0)~~
13 Sep, 2009
IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!
:~)D~~~~~
13 Sep, 2009

25 Nov, 2009

Sanbaz, I don't know a lot about flowere so I could be wrong, is it Lady thumb, and have you seen fuchsia annabel pure white and is on my wish list, as is leonora, another all one colour, but this one is pink. PS it could even be swingtime.

7 Jan, 2010
Lovely plant Sandra and a beautiful picture -I just bought some in Wilko's today ;-)
20 Apr, 2010
thanx richard i loved them, fed them regular and deadheaded to, lots of watering as they soon dry out in baskets, but lasted me a long time, ive just got some more fuchsia, but would love these again, will look at weekend ;o))
20 Apr, 2010
Thanks for pointing me to your pics Sandra. I used to belong to Leicester Fuchsia society for a number of years and had a lot of different ones at one time; in the end I was overwhelmed with them !. Now I will just keep a few of my favourite ones and overwinter them. They root very easily from cuttings at around this time of year :-)
20 Apr, 2010
i lost all my fuchsia in winter richard, had lots which i really liked, kept them in growhouse with fleece but no signs of life, so think they are gone, normally just leave them out but as we had really bad winter i thought i would protect them, i guess you can get overwelmed with to many,, hywel has loads dont know how he does it ;o)
20 Apr, 2010
What I am going to do is to take a few cuttings in about August and bring them indoors on the window sill in the winter. Then by about February/March they should be large enough to take cuttings off to start off some more plants for spring/summer. It is difficult to keep large plants, or a lot of them, through the winter unless you have a spare room or something like that. I have used that method with my impatiens (busy lizzie) this year :-)
20 Apr, 2010
i may try that again richard, lost them last time but will give it another go ;o)) good luck with yours ;o)
20 Apr, 2010
Thanks Sandra :-)
