Hostas in Bloom!

I like Hosta flowers.......

by the holes in the leaves you see that somehow they were water burned...my poor garden..it's taken such neglect, and they've still put up some of the prettiest flowers on any plant! Ephemera!

I hadn't even noticed the scorched bits! It's a very pretty plant :-)

Are these the very fragrant blooming ones Lori ? Mine are in bloom right now too !

I've got a Hosta similar to this one but it has pure white flowers - never tried sniffing it tho.....I will try to remember to - I didn't know some smelt nice...

Yes, it's me Sid....:-) I have one with solid green leaves and large white blooms that is very fragrant. It's called ' Royal Standard'. It smells like my native sweet honeysuckle. I posted a pic of it for you.

It's that lovely lily scent they have... these are not scented but I have the later bloomers which do have a scent...very slight though. Will be on the lookout for Royal Standard. I think I've decided on more shrubs and hosta in my next garden and fewer perennials.

I can just see your mind now, Lori, going a million miles a minute...lol. Can't WAIT to see your new garden projects ,hopefully next year !
