That's beautiful. I was looking at hostas online just yesterday, as I have a number of shade/partial shade areas on my property, & I love hostas. I looked at this one, but wasn't in flower .... I'll definitely be getting a few around the garden shortly. I've never had much luck with them, sadly ... they seldom appear the following years, so I think the snails must gobble them all up!

Yes slugs and snails really love them Dwyllis, so you will have to watch out for them. I surround mine with lots of gravel as they don't like that too much.

Its beautiful. Bit disappointed that after waiting so long for it to open it only lasted just over a day. More blooms opening, but .....

One day? ... Not good enough! ... lol!
... I shall be removing and dividing all the Hostas from the 2 blue pots tomorrow ... then putting in the plants for the Winter ... Hebes, Pansies, Violas and trailing Ivy ... :o)
17 Sep, 2011
Yes I must do that, but the one I want to divide now is still flowering, so might have to leave it till I get back from my few days hols.

Sensible idea ... enjoy your hols .... hope it's sunny for you ... :o)))
