We like these Spritzy, Are they difficult to grow?

Easy just shadey and damp but they can cope with pretty much anything

Yes, Ian, in the soil or in pots, as Mushybanana says, in damp shade - although there are some that like the sun as long as they are kept well-watered. They are slug and snail magnets, though - so you have to cope with that somehow.

Ian, you could grow one or two in pots!

Usernut, yes, indeed, they do flower - some prettier than others, admitedly.
I saw these open and thought they were lovely and deserved a photo-shoot! lol.

Thanks Spritz. Surprising how far behind you get even if your away for only a few days.

You are SOOO right! We were off line due to a lightning strike for three days and it felt like three weeks! I still haven't caught up.

My pc blew up tonight (literally) I was off for two hours and started to go into withdrawl. Good job I've got a spare :~))

Lol, Ian.
I remember a Gardeners World programme with Anne Swithinbank in Holland - florists were selling bunches of hosta flowers, they were lovely, and very popular.

mmm know what you mean.... one of my hosta's went to seed last year... and i now have a whole tray of little babies :-) gonna watch out for that again this year, usually i dead head them so they don't set seed, but i don't supose it matters as like you say they only flower for a short time anyway... the plant looks really healthy this year too..

One of my Hostas has NO snail damage at all! The others have a few holes. I need to find out which one it is, don't I!
