Pothos, philodendron, the fuschias and a few others. I plan winter to organize my garden and plant names in here. :-)

Hey it looks dark outside! Haven't seen that for awhile:)

I love my new curtans, chose the blue and made them myself. This would be my computer corner where I sit and GOY or with company, (this is shaded from the HPS light, makes some feel a little strange shining on them directly). And yes, the dark and creepy night has returned. I get afraid and then learn to not fear the dark over again every fall. :-)

Lovely corner, Greenthumb, is it the wild creature sounds that you don't like, or just dark nights?

No wild creature sounds here, silence and dog yards...lol. I get so used to the light all summer, that the dark seems unnatural and creepy, can't see a thing! I take a little while to get back into it. We get conditioned to have dark and cold synonomous round here.

my fav. thing about the northern winter is the silence...you hear the wind almost constantly...but when the wind dies down..a silence you can hear ringing in your ears descends...it is so profound that your own heartbeat is audible... and your breathing can drown out other sounds around you...not really creepy... I think it is ultra-natural but very unfamiliar. we always have noise around us..and are not used to it's absence. Almost forgot to compliment your curtains... love the colour...and you did a really good job, too!!

I love the silence Lori. I get a little spooked about the darkness. I have to get back into it every year. I like when the temp is soooo cold that you can hear a conversation 1/2-1 mile away. You feel like your ears are stuffed shut with silence but sounds are all close and clear. Those are otherworldy days. -40 F. We're pretty safe from wind in the interior. And thanks bought the curtains. :-)

I LOVE IT!!! Sorry to yell...but that corner just looks...so...inviting. Like it will help you peruse life's thoughts.

I do spend much time here. Bought myself a new chair so I'd be more comfy during that time...lol. Thanks CD!

I agree that the blue looks GREAT. I noticed it in some of your other photos. It'a a wonerful contrast color to your plants.

Thanks Mike. Helps reduce the orange of the cabin between the sealed log and the sodium lamp as well. :-)
