lawn

grass at front of house has never looked better - after almost 30 years in this house decided to get the 'green thumb' people in to sort out our grass. They've made a scrubby patch into something lush. (and not as expensive as we'd thought)

Thanks, M - a neighbour uses the green thumb guys and her lawn is perfect. Didn't think they could do anything much with ours, but they've succeeded where we failed!!

It looks terrific Constance, and doesn't it pull the rest of the garden together nicely, when the lawn looks good...

It looks like a bowling green! what did they do to it?

Thanks Sticki.
Thanks Crissue - yes, I love a nice bit of lawn to pull it all together.
Thanks Poppy; they told me they don't use weedkillers, as they reckon if the grass is given the right amount/type of fertiliser, it will thrive, and weeds will be kicked into touch! So far, they have given the grass a Spring and a Summer feed. They are coming back next month to 'hollow tine' (dunno if that's the spelling). This involves taking out small pieces of lawn to allow better drainage/air circulation - moss has been a big prob on this lawn. They also scarify the lawn, but think we'll do that ourselves.

Thnks Constance I have been putting off doing my front lawn. If it can bring it up like yours it will be definately worth the effort! So - spring tine, scarify and feed here it comes. Im a bit too far away to ask greenthumb

Oh, good luck, Poppy! Hope you post a pic when you see results. : o ))
Think greenthumb is a franchise - you might have them in your area.
