There are 45 classes in the summer show at our garden club. I entered 14. I got 7 firsts, 4 seconds and 1 third. Also the silver salver for roses and a cup for floral design. I was absolutely stunned! I love the buzz in our village hall before the judges are let loose and the setting up of the whole event.There were some cracking fruit and vegie too. Carrots, potatoes and onions to die for. Mine all look rather wizzened and almost human; so they didn't get a showing. They taste good though....

Yes Terratoonie this one did get first and went towards the trophy for floral design. Yes, also a prize card and yes, also 50p prize money!
