now that looks familiar! I have a small patch of those lovely English bluebells thanks to a GoY friend. They've come up faithfully every year since I planted them(5 yrs now) ..and they always get a spring photo posted on GoY. I'm a little late seeing this as it's well into autumn...dare I say winter...
All the different mosses are just amazing, too. Not as many fungi in the forest this year, they and the ferns are so beautiful.
You mentioned that you had a brickwall at the back of your garden...you are so lucky! Will you try fruit trees against it. Is it the amalanchier (service berry?) that taste like blueberries? I'm curious about them as I'm always on the lookout for edible anything, that will thrive here in zone 3/4. Our winters are very cold...and long.
