Type of Club Moss (Lycopodium complanatum)

Type of Club Moss (Lycopodium complanatum)

This smaller variety of club moss was loking just wonderful. Very compact due to lack of moisture, but that doesn't stop moss in tundra with the understory of permafrost.

Moss & lichens & fungi are so facinating - so many varieties and so hardy in odd places. These are quite tall and look very healthy.

Nelke has me tempted to pluck them up and bring them home to live in the garden. I'm not quite brave enough. :-) I'd love having them here to watch as they pull through, survive, and even thrive.
