That's a good one Amy, hope you have got lots more. They are a bit difficult to find aren't they?

Oh ! is that all I'm getting .. 1 nut ..LOL... I couldn't see anymore flowers , I would never have noticed this without you showing yours Dawn .
Very difficult to see Dr.bob .. it had never occurred to me to look ..... this tree is normally loaded with lovely cob nuts , it's a battle to see who gets them first , usually the squirrels .. .. If I only have one nut this year he can have it :o))

Those squirrels get ours too Amy, we normally just find the shells.
Without you Bob, we would never have never known about the flowers.
I still cant see flowers on the alder trees though, Pam said they have similar flowers next to catkins.

Hi Dawn , I have several hazel nut trees in the hedging but they are so high up amongst the holly that I cant see them close to ,, when the squirrels have finished there it's like walking on a carpet of shells ... ..

Little rascals. As long as we get some peaches Amy, we'll be happy.

Me to Dawn , I'm worried that my peach tree was pruned to hard last year , I shall be sad if it dosn't produce any peaches , they were so nice last year ....

How are your flocks ? I put my plants in the garden in the autumn , they are beginning to shoot up already :o)

Hi Amy, I looked for mine the other day as leaves had fallen where I set them and remarkably they are OK. I still have lots more in the cold frame so I'll give it another week for the weather to improve and I'll plant them out. I cant wait to see them flower - what month do they flower Amy, I cant remember. I do remember you saying how you've seen them in the field for a long time, it was so good of you to collect the seeds and share with me.
