Long Haired nairn Guinea Pig

Our new addition...we've named her Honey...she's a sweetheart, and is settling ok...We had the cage from our Rabbit we sadly lost some time back...so she has plenty of room...So expect to see a few more pics of her when she's not so camera shy....

My brother had a few of these years ago. They're lovely little things :o))

Crissue, congratulation to little piggy. Be prepared for more mess then rabbits do. I bred both, guinea pigs and rabbits. Guinea pigs need two things to live happily and long (:)) - companion (really!) and apple on daily basis (or whatever what contains vitamin C, as they are not able to synthetize their own vitamin like humans. Looking forward to hear more on Honey.

Hi everyone, and thankyou, she is lovely, and very knowing already...Paul I saw baby Hampters too they were so cute...aww..
Thankyou Kat for your valuable info...She had Carrot yesterday, and I've just given her half an Apple...We did have a minature black Guniea Pig for several years, and she used to go out into the Garden, and wander around most of the day if it was nice, and play with our Cats...but I think Fi Fi was a one off...:o)))
Yes Hywel they are so lovely...she will get lots of attention, so she'll never be lonely...

Lovely stinking creatures, lol. I never "washed" them, but I saw lot of people doing that and I was surprised, that guinea pigs enjoyed the bath :)
Oh, that must have been very funny, that wandering of Fi Fi around the garden. They are very active, arenĀ“t they?

Hi Kat, they sure are...I used to brush my Fi Fi, and she would push me away when she had had enough...Some animals have a natural scent about them...I look after their Housing and food dishes/water on a daily basis that's all my animals and birds, even my Chickens know when mama is about, I know exactly what they like...and what makes them comfortable, just like we look after ourselves...also in the good weather, I get mine outside for the fresh air, and that works wonders too...We have a big metal Pen which can stand on the Lawn, and they love grass too...to eat...lol
