'Ol Grand-dad (me) showing the grand kids how to plant flowers in the garden. You could not imagine all of the questions that they had and I took the time to carefully explain how nature works and how plants respond to what us humans do with them in a simple way. The little boys are 4 yrs and 2yrs old.
They were both SO interested in what 'ol grand dad was doing and of course wanted to "help" in any way! {chuckle}
I showed them how to dig the holes and save the native soil, showed them how to add the organic amendments to the dug up soil, how to carefully unwind the circling roots of the plants in the 4" pots and spread them out, and how to replace the soil and the mulch to finish the plantings, It was pretty cool to teach them a little something.. {grin}

N2O- Love this photo and the story about you teaching the grandkids about what you love...my guess is because you so thoughtfully explained to them what you were doing and let them help they will learn to love it too!!! Nice job and very cute!
