Ooh, tell me about a yellow variety named 'Little Maid' please . . .my husband is colour blind but sees yellow easily . . .trying to plant more yellow and cream this year.

K.'little maid' is a dwarf kniphofia (up to 2ft) so plant up at the front of the border. Flower buds start green - fade to yellow, cream, then white. Best I think if you plant a group of them together, flowers late spring and summer - they like loamy soil, but must be well drained to help them get through very cold winters - plant in a sunny position - how's that.
