Kigelia africana - Sausage Tree Seedlings

Kigelia africana - Sausage Tree Seedlings (Kigelia africana - Sausage Tree)

I started these seedling on May 31, 2011. They've been growing pretty well. However, don't grow as fast in pots as they would in the ground. Photo taken on Oct. 31, 2011 for Terratoonie.

Thanks Delonix..
These are doing well..
I guess you could grow a baby sausage tree in England, but it would not survive outdoors when it grew bigger ...?

Added to GoYpedia "Sausage Trees" ... :o)

Terratoonie:

No, unfortunately it will not survive outdoors in England, during winter. You could grow one and keep it at 3ft/1m tall for an extended period of time.

If you kept it 3 feet tall, I guess it would not grow the sausages ?

It's highly unlikely it would ever flower and develop the sausage-like seed pods when not grown in the ground.
