Chocolate Cosmos and Sedum

Chocolate Cosmos and Sedum

I like the dark of the Cosmos against the leaves of the Sedum, it looks better in real life...honest!!

Well, goes without saying that the cosmos is a favourite here, but teaming it with the creamy white sedum is genius. Added to my faves. :-)

Not considered so in the UK. Under one of my pics of it, I said that I was about to either collect the seeds now, by cutting the dead flowerheads with their stems, and hang them uspide down in a brown paper bag in the shed; or, dig up, repot the plants and keep in a frost-free place. May try both - definitely need to do something this far north.

If picking the flowerheads, make sure they are totally dry, not damp after rain, or they will just rot. -

Doreen, of Doreensgarden, commented to me under one of her pics, that she covered them with a mulch last winter,, then a double layer of fleece, and they survived where she is (can't remember offhand). I can't do that, so will have to do as I planned. Good Luck with the seed. :-)
