Sweet pea "Beaujolais"

meanie

By Meanie

Sweet pea "Beaujolais" (Lathyrus odoratus (Sweet Pea))

All too often when a new plant blooms that you aren't familiar with, it's a disappointment compared to the picture on the packet or tag. This one is a revelation! The packet didn't even come close to doing it justice!
I'm completely made up with this one!

and i see why Meanie it is words do not do it justice, i want it, what seed company? i grow a lot of sweet peas and dot them around the garden growing through and up things but i must admit i have shied away from the darker colours, having been disappointed, but this one has knocked all that on the head. This is what GYO is all about, thank you.

Lemondog - I fancied a change this year from my sweet pea of choice (Cupani) and found this in the Suttons range. The flowers have a wonderful sheen to them.
