a lovely persicaria that looks like it might be a bit of a thug.

apparently yes. It will have to be to survive where i have put it. but it seems to be growing very well . perhaps too well. we will have to see.

I have one SBG, my first year with it, happy to hear its hardy, doesen't it look fab when the suns shining through the leave's? it is a thug but ive been cutting it back all summer and it doesen't seem to mind :)

I shall HAVE to cut mine back next year - the shoots have grown about 6'...Yes, I agree, a lovely plant.

I trimmed it last week and ive put some of the cuttings in water to see if they root! Dont know why tho lol..

they are rooting in the soil at the leaf nodes. they ae in quite deep shade too.
