Is there Lollo Rossa lettuce to the left, Richard? We have some growing in a pot, just cut some as required and it grows some more! : o ))

Yes Camillia I always grow salads here in the trough it is easy to harvest at waist height too. I have chives in there too which I cut up and put on salads too.

It is Lollo Rosso Shirley, I just snip off as much as I want and leave the rest in there to grow on too.

Lovely selection of salad there Richard. My salad did better last year in a trough, than they did in the garden.

I use this trough every year Linda but change the compost in there every other year. I enjoy watching it grow (and eating it ) :-)

Yes Cristina I find it grows better in the trough as the slugs and snails find it difficult to get in there :-)))

I have learned not to plant them all at the same time Junna as it is better to have one or two lettuce a week rather than having them all ready at once ...haha!
