These are really easy to take cuttings from in August, Cut just below a leaf joint take about 5 inches, take a few leaves of and bury them in a pot of compost, water, don't keep too wet, and place inside greenhouse or kitchen window in partial shade. Take cuttings from new growth that aren't flowering yet and take off any flowering buds.

Yes Lindak this is a cutting and I took several from it last year which are now good sized plants. Like Weigela its very easy to take cuttings.
