Clark's Spiny Lizard

Another visitor while I was laying plastic and rock for weed control. (I'll never be finished with this job but I will be happy next year when I have less weeds to pull) This guy is an excellent "keeper" because he eats a lot of my garden pests. The only thing is my cats like to chase them. This is the first time I have ever seen this type lizard. His body (without tail) is about 6 inches long. He is a bit chubbier than our usual variety.

Yep! Blue and gray. The shade of blue sometimes varies. I didn't know what kind of lizard this was so I looked it up. Some of the pictures looked similar to this and some were a darker shade.
