It is going to be a major undertaking just getting the weeds out of these beds.

Look forwards to seeing your borders when you have finished Looks like the beds have a nice shape to them

Do you get many snakes in the undergrowth?

I don't know if it will work for you but I use my weeding to get rid of the things that's bugged me during the day or whenever. You can yank that "rude driver" or "discourteous clerk" or whatever right out of the ground and toss them away!! I always feel so much lighter after weeding. lol!

This looks like it has a lot of potential, some nice plants in there amongst the weeds, a good framework for you to add to.

Welcome to GOY. Good luck with the transformation of your garden! You have a lovely shaped border to work on. Remember to post photos as it progresses.

Beginnings are fun!... be careful what you pull...if you're not sure, take a pic and post in on goY. it looks to me as though you have grasses trying to take over and the space where they are must have been filled with annuals...so you have a clean slate! lucky you.
